Wadi Fresh joined TAIIC with a single hydroponic rack in a Muscat garage. Eighteen months later they operate two climate-controlled vertical farms supplying 40 supermarkets with pesticide-free leafy greens.
Oman imports the vast majority of its leafy greens, and what arrives has often spent a week in transit. Founder Khalid Al-Abri believed locally grown, pesticide-free greens could beat imports on both freshness and price — if energy and water costs could be tamed.
During incubation the team:
Wadi Fresh operates two vertical farms producing 12 tonnes of greens per month, supplies 40 retail locations, and employs 18 people — with a third site under construction in Salalah.
